Get Your Permanent Crown in Just One Visit
If you are missing one or more teeth, a dental bridge is an excellent option to restore the appearance and function of your smile. A bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to “bridge” the gap created by one or more missing teeth. It consists of an artificial tooth, known as a pontic, which is held in place by dental crowns on the natural teeth on either side of the gap.

Benefits of a Dental Bridge
Dental bridges do more than just fill a gap in your smile. They provide a range of important benefits:
- Restores Your Smile: A bridge fills the unsightly gap, providing a seamless and natural-looking smile.
- Improves Chewing and Speaking: Missing teeth can make it difficult to chew certain foods and may affect your speech. A bridge restores these functions, allowing you to eat and speak with confidence.
- Maintains Facial Structure: The loss of teeth can lead to bone loss in the jaw, which can cause your facial structure to “sink.” A bridge helps support your cheeks and lips, maintaining your natural facial contours.
- Prevents Remaining Teeth from Shifting: When a tooth is missing, the neighboring teeth may shift into the empty space. This can lead to a misaligned bite and other dental problems. A bridge holds the surrounding teeth in their proper position.
- Long-Lasting Solution: With proper care, a dental bridge can last for many years, providing a durable and reliable solution.

The Dental Bridge Procedure
Getting a dental bridge is a straightforward process that typically requires two appointments:
First Appointment:
- Dr. Nate Millerwill prepare the teeth on either side of the gap. This involves removing a small amount of enamel to make room for the crowns that will support the bridge.
- Impressions of your teeth will be taken to create a precise model. This model is sent to a dental lab where your custom-made bridge will be crafted to match the color and shape of your existing teeth.
- A temporary bridge will be placed to protect your prepared teeth while your permanent bridge is being made.
Second Appointment:
- Once your custom bridge arrives from the lab, you’ll return for your second appointment.
- Dr. Nate Miller will remove the temporary bridge and carefully fit the new, permanent bridge.
- The bridge will be cemented into place, and any final adjustments will be made to ensure it fits perfectly and your bite is comfortable.
With a little extra care—including daily brushing and flossing—your new dental bridge will help you smile, speak, and chew with confidence for years to come.
